TITAN
| Titan has been radically improved lately, as you can see, with the upgrade to 1 HP motors, re-designed blade guide mounting systems, and a streamlined belt cover for easier removal. While the drive train became lighter, the blade guide mountings got beefier. The result of all these changes is a lighter, stronger saw with easier and more precise adjustments. |

| Both Falberg portable timber band saws have their own proprietary cast aluminum 10" wheels machined to turn on double-sealed radial ball bearings and to retain 1" wide tires without resorting to glue. Likewise, the blade guides are proprietary aluminum brackets machined to accept double-sealed radial ball bearings as does the motor and the drive wheel. When you pull the trigger on a Falberg portable timber band saw our 1HP capacitor-start motor jumps, so watch it. It immediately settles down to a blistering 76'/sec. and goes that way all day. |

The frame evolved from trial and error into a masterpiece of engineering efficiency, giving us a full 18" X 18" of throat for the same weight as the 1HP Dayton motor which counter-balances it. That balance is important because above all other considerations, the Falberg hand-held portable timber bandsaw (U.S. Patent # 6,675,486) balances at the exact point where the band saw blade goes through the platen; and your timber. That´s why they´re such a joy to operate; from start to finish, you´re in total control. Whether your cut is just getting started or you´re cutting close to the edge of a beam, the Falberg portable timber band saw will remain flat, balanced, and level against your timber. Our frames have undergone no less than twenty four generations of design modification to achieve their current rigidity without adding a pound of non-essential weight; so, at 65 lbs., it has the strength and throat capacity of many obsolete cast iron band saws weighing 500 lbs. or more. |

Don´t you hate it when a blade breaks just because you jammed it into a fork lift? The Falberg tensioning system will amaze you with its tenacity to hold the blade on track while you´re yanking it out of a kerf (and/or the blade guides). It uses two springs, so you get way more tension than you´ll ever need. The proprietary cam lever that tracks the wheel remembers your tension setting so blade changes consist of no more than removing the cover with two soft touch knobs and pulling the lever back to loosen the blade. The most remarkable feature of this system is its ability to absorb the shock when a blade is grabbed or accidentally deflected. |

We laminate the underside of the platen, too. It pulls smoother that way.
Tip: If you have to cut a bunch of arches; set up your timber to slope downhill. The saw will glide on gravity power.
